The “green” sedum roof of The Cairn Distillery near Grantown on Spey is becoming a happy haven for bees. Since its installation in April, wildflowers have flourished on the roof, attracting thousands of bees.
We visited new London hotel and members’ club The Twenty Two on Grosvenor Square, which launched in April of this year.
The 42,500 sq. ft property houses 31 bedrooms and suites, as well as the public 120-cover restaurant and a private members’ club.
The site also boats an all-day dining restaurant, which has been given the high honour of being described as “making Mayfair cool again”.
Derived from heritage grains and “energised” water, luxury Scottish vodka brand, X MUSE has opened an immersive tasting experience at sculpture park, Jupiter Artland in Edinburgh. Designed by Milanese studio, Formafantasma, the X MUSE Temple is home to a state-of-the-art tasting workshop for 5-15 guests and sits alongside works by Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Cornelia Parker, and Anish Kapoor. From within the park’s ancient aquifer, water, steeped on amethyst crystals, contributes to the base of the authored spirit. For tickets (£20pp), visit: jupiterartland.org
And Union Distillers Director Stuart Fitz presented Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trustwith a cheque for over £1,000 this week off the back of a national campaign supporting World Bee Day. The firm’s honey-infused KEEPR’s Gin brand donated 10% of all sales to the cause for a month.
