Spotlight Earthday: The Roundhouse Aquarium’s Keep it Green, Keep it Clean Earth Day Celebration is back, in person, for the first time in two years. The aquarium has partnered with local community groups and school organizations to provide interactive and hands-on activities that promote sustainable living on Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Activity booths will be set up inside and outside of the Roundhouse Aquarium, on the Manhattan Beach pier. All ages are welcome. Pre register online for $10 per participant. Day-of, on-site registration is $15 per participant. The price includes participation in all Earth Day activities at the Roundhouse Aquarium. Before the Earth Day Celebration, the aquarium will host a pre-event Sea Story Time featuring Seth Fishman, who will be reading his children’s book, “The Ocean in Your Bathtub.” Scheduled for 9-9:45 a.m., the event will end with an opportunity to interact with live sea animals. Sea Story Time with a hardcover copy of the book is $40. Entry with no book is $25. Registration includes participation in the Keep it Green, Keep it Clean Earth Day Celebration. Community members are invited to mark Earth Day and celebrate the 45th anniversary of Wilderness Park April 23-24. There will be a native plant workshop, a walk, overnight camping and a dinner on April 23. The free community event on April 24 includes habitat restoration work, live music, activities, crafts, a taco lunch and more. A donation of $10 is requested for lunch. “Beauty and the Beast” 

After a three-year absence from live musical theater, the Mira Costa High School Drama/Tech Department is returning to the stage with the musical, “Beauty and the Beast.” Showtimes are April 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m., April 23 and 30 at 2 p.m. and April 28 at 6:30 p.m at the Mira Costa High School Auditorium, 1401 Artesia Blvd., Manhattan Beach. Tickets are on sale at miracostadramaboosters.org.

In celebration of Earth Day, The Waste Less Shop, Steve Saiz State Farm Agency and Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce have partnered to host a beach clean-up, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at El Porto Beach between 34th and 35th streets. Pick up a bucket at The Waste Less Shop (3515 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach) or the State Farm tent at the beach. Bring sunscreen, gloves and if desired, trash grabbers. Succulent show & sale 

The South Coast Cactus & Succulent Society’s annual Show & Sale is set for April 23-24, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Palos Verdes Art Center, 5504 Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes.
