A new shop dedicated to all things cactus and succulents is now open for business in Raymond Terrace.

The Prick (geddit?) opened its doors for the first time amongst the torrential rain last weekend. But not even natural disasters could take the sting out of the grand opening.

While The Prick has been selling cacti and associated plant care and home decor at the local markets for some time this is the business’s first brick-and-mortar store.

Claire, the self-described crazy Cacti lady behind Prick, reckons she’s obsessed with sharing her passion for growing cactus with anyone willing to listen.

“I can’t fully recite all of their scientific names, or name every single subspecies, but I know a damn lot about my prickly friends,” Claire said on her website.

You can find The Prick at 3/24 William Street in Raymond Terrace. The shop is open from Wednesday till Sunday every week from 10 am until 4 pm. And you can shop online anytime by visiting prickstore.square.site.
